Best Of Texas Bar-B-Que was started in 2003 in Conroe, TX. by founder Doni Simmons and his wife Marianne Kempner-Simmons. Marianne was an account executive and in marketing with a well known Magazine in Houston, Dallas and Austin.  Doni is a Singer /Entertainer known through out the U.S. for the past 37 yrs.  Doni's passion for BBQ started at an early age so when it came time to retire  from the music business he started Best Of Texas Bar-B-Que . After building several locations Doni and Marianne now have just one located in Doni's home town Marshall, TX. Nestled in the beautiful  E. Texas Piney woods of Harrison County a rustic built Best Of Texas Bar-B-Que Harrison Co Smokehouse sits on one and a half acres with lovely views of trees and meadows filled with Cattle and a Horse named Ghost .Best of Texas BBQ is known throughout the country for having great smoked meats such as succulent Moist Brisket, Pork Shoulder, Tender Beef Short Ribs, Slovacek's Sausage Jalapeno, Pepper Jack and the regular Garlic beef and pork blend. We are also known for the  Best Of Texas Bar-B-Que Sauce which contains only 2 grams of sugar and has been called a "Texas treasure".  Betty O's ( named after Doni's Mom who passed away from Diabetes complications in 2007 ) is a Diabetic Friendly Sauce with only 1 gram of sugar that "Taste Great" and has become a favorite among people with Diabetes and anyone that monitors their sugar intake. Marianne's tasty desserts such as Lemon Ice Box Pie and Lg. moist Brownies will defiantly satisfy your sweet tooth. Here at Best of Texas BBQ we have something for everyone!
